If you are just beginning your face painting journey and  you feel you are now good enough to start face painting professionally , local children’s parties are a perfect starting point. They give you the chance to promote yourself in your community and work  with real, live models. While wiggly kids in the chair can be a challenge, working with them will sharpen your skills.  Although childrens  parties are often high energy and full on, in a way they can be less daunting than starting a large public events when you are just starting out

But What About Adults?

When you are confident that your face painting skills are at a high level it might be time to try adult events Adults offer a completely different—and less wiggly—canvas to showcase your creativity! If you’ve ever thought about expanding beyond kids’ face painting, approaching adult events and event management complanies is a brilliant way to add more variety to your work and open up new revenue streams.

You can diversify what you offer by incorporating festival glitter looks, neon or UV-reactive face paints and even some body painting, . These options are especially popular for events like hen parties, festivals, weddings, and even corporate functions.

How to Get Bookings for Adult Events:

Here are some key strategies to help you break into the adult event space:

1. Show Your Work Online:

Make sure potential client can see examples of your different styles of face paints . Create  display boards for different types of events, example: birthdays, hen parties, weddings, Halloween You could also have a separate portfolio for pride events, as well as glitter and neon/UV designs.
