The Rose of Tralee Festival is one of Ireland’s most beloved and long-standing celebrations, and for us, it holds an extra special place in our hearts. This was one of the very first family festivals we ever worked at, and for years, it became a highlight of our summer calendar.

With its beautiful mix of tradition, pageantry, music, and family fun, Tralee transforms into a bustling hub of entertainment—and we always loved being part of that magic, bringing face painting and creativity to the festival crowds!

The Magic of Face Painting at Rose of Tralee

Unlike fast-paced music festivals or themed fairs, Rose of Tralee has a warm, family-friendly energy. Parents, children, and visitors from all over come to enjoy the carnival atmosphere, live performances, and the iconic Rose selection.

At our stall, we were always met with smiling faces, excited kids, and long queues of festival-goers eager to get painted. We got to create designs that felt fun, elegant, and playful—perfect for the spirit of the event.

There was always something extra special about painting at this festival, knowing that we were part of a long-standing tradition that celebrates Irish culture, community, and creativity. 

Festival Atmosphere & Memories Over the Years

The bustling streets, the joyful energy, and the feeling of celebration made Rose of Tralee such an incredible experience every time. Whether it was the parades, music performances, or the excitement of the Rose selection itself, the entire festival had a way of bringing people together.

We painted thousands of faces over the years, and looking back, we’re so grateful that this festival was one of the first major family events we worked at. It helped us grow, refine our skills, and truly understand the magic of bringing color and creativity to a festival setting. 

Cherishing the Past, Excited for the Future! 

Though we may no longer be part of the Rose of Tralee Festival, the memories we made there will always stay with us. This event played a huge role in shaping our journey, and we love looking back at the smiles, laughter, and painted faces that filled our time there.
