There’s something special about looking back on past events—remembering the energy, the colors, the conversations, and the little moments that made them unforgettable. One event that always stands out in our memories is the Dungarvan Food Fair—a celebration of incredible flavors, buzzing crowds, and that warm, welcoming community spirit.
This festival was a dream for the senses—the rich aromas of artisan foods filling the air, the laughter of families gathered around market stalls, the sizzle of street food being prepared right before your eyes. And in the midst of it all, our face painting stall, adding a splash of color to an already vibrant event.
Unlike other festivals where entertainment takes center stage, a food fair brings a different kind of atmosphere—one that’s indulgent, relaxed, and deeply tied to taste, tradition, and togetherness. There’s a rhythm to it, a pace that lets people wander from stall to stall, sampling, chatting, enjoying.
At Dungarvan Food Fair, we loved watching kids excitedly run up to our marquee, their faces already sticky from sweet treats, ready to be transformed into butterflies, superheroes, or festival-ready floral designs. Parents would often linger, enjoying the break, soaking in the moment as they held a fresh cup of coffee or a warm pastry in hand.
The whole experience was so interactive—people would stop to watch as we painted, complimenting a swirl of color or asking about the brushes we used. There was a sense of connection, of artistry blending with the atmosphere of the event.
We may not be setting up at Dungarvan Food Fair anymore, but we love looking back on those moments—the long queues, the smell of fresh-baked bread in the air, the golden glow of an autumn afternoon settling over the stalls.
It’s a reminder that every event we’ve worked at has left its mark on us—each one shaping our journey, refining our skills, and giving us memories we’ll always hold close.
If you were ever at the Dungarvan Food Fair, you might even remember seeing our stall, the joyful chaos of kids picking their designs, the brushstrokes transforming faces into miniature works of art. And if you’ve ever been painted by us there—thank you for being part of those beautiful memories.
We love reminiscing, but we’re also excited for all the festivals still to come! Every event has its own energy, its own magic, and we can’t wait to see where the next one takes us.
Here’s to more food, more art, and more unforgettable festival moments!
