Looking back on all the events and experiences we’ve had over the years, one that will always hold a special place in our hearts was our time volunteering at an orphanage in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2017.
This was unlike any other event we’ve worked at—it wasn’t about queues, bookings, or corporate clients. It was about giving back, sharing joy, and creating smiles through face painting. The children we met were so full of warmth and kindness, and the experience was incredibly rewarding.
We arrived ready to paint, but nothing could have prepared us for just how special the day would be. From the moment we started, the children were so excited, eager to choose their designs, and full of laughter as they watched their faces transform.

Butterflies & flowers
Superheroes & princesses
Bright, colorful patterns full of sparkle!
But the best part? Their reactions. Seeing their eyes light up when they looked in the mirror, watching them show off their new face paint to their friends—it was truly heartwarming.
This experience reminded us why we love what we do. Face painting isn’t just about color on skin—it’s about bringing happiness, creating moments, and making people feel special.
The children were so welcoming and full of joy, despite the challenges they’ve faced in life. They showed us pure gratitude, kindness, and excitement, making this one of the most rewarding days we’ve ever had.

This experience taught us that sometimes, the most meaningful moments aren’t about big events or high-profile bookings—they’re about using our skills to give joy where it’s needed most.
We would love to do more projects like this in the future, bringing face painting to those who wouldn’t normally have access to it. If you ever have the chance to use your craft for something bigger than yourself, take it—you’ll never regret it.
Stay creative,
Selena, Amber & The Team
