Every year from late November up to just before Christmas, our face painters and entertainers transform into Santa’s official Irish elves, thanks to Sunway!

Through our ongoing partnership with Sunway, we have the absolute joy of flying to Lapland (Finland), acting as Irish guides for families on their magical Christmas adventure. It’s an experience like no other, filled with excitement, snow-covered landscapes, and nonstop festive fun!

With multiple destinations, dates, and trips, no two experiences are ever the same, but one thing is certain—Sunway makes the magic happen every year, giving families an unforgettable Christmas experience. We’re honored to be part of it!

How Do You Become an Elf?

Not just anyone can become an elf—it takes training, dedication, and a whole lot of Christmas spirit!

Becoming one of Santa’s helpers for Sunway’s Lapland trips requires:

Elf School & Training Day  – Months before departure, all future elves gather for a day of intensive (and totally serious) elf training!

Learning your Elf Name & Backstory  – Every elf has a magical origin story—how they arrived at the North Pole, their assigned job from Santa, and how they got their name!

Mastering Christmas Cheer – We train in dancing, singing, Christmas jokes, and elf protocol to ensure maximum merriment at all times!

Preparing the Ultimate Elf Kit – This includes a unicorn face paint kit, entertainer props, prizes, stickers, and more!

And yes, we take elf training very seriously. (You have no idea how competitive Christmas joke practice can get.)

The Big Day – From Airport to Lapland!

Once the magical departure day arrives, our elves work in pairs, ensuring that every child and family is fully immersed in the Christmas experience from the very beginning!

Airport Meet & Greet with Sunway

We arrive bright and early at the airport for a festive welcome at check-in with Sunway and airport staff.

With Christmas music blaring, we greet excited families, handing out Sunway goodie bags and getting everyone into the Christmas spirit!

In-Flight Entertainment

Once onboard, we bring the Christmas magic to the sky!

We entertain the entire flight with singing, storytelling, and games, getting to know all the children and letting them discover their elf’s backstory.

Kids love hearing about how each elf was assigned their special job at the North Pole!

Arrival in Lapland – The Real Magic Begins!

As soon as we land, we pick up snow suits, boots, and winter gear—(because let’s face it, Irish elves aren’t built for sub-zero temperatures!)

We wrap fairy lights around ourselves so the children can easily spot their elves.

Then the adventure truly begins!

A Day in Lapland – Pure Christmas Magic!

Once we arrive, it’s a full day of snow-filled fun, including:

Husky rides & reindeer rides

Snowmobile adventures

Snowball fights & snowman building

Christmas discos & festive activities

And of course… meeting Santa himself!

It’s an unbelievable experience, not just for the families but for us as elves too! Seeing the pure excitement on children’s faces makes every freezing moment worth it.

The Journey Home – Making Memories That Last Forever

After a magical day in Lapland, our elves fly back with the families, keeping the Christmas excitement alive until the very last moment. By the end of the trip, we’ve laughed, played, and created incredible memories with so many families.
